Winter Sports Update

As the final days of Winter sports come up, we are tallying up the scores from our amazing varsity teams. There have been many ups and downs for our teams, but they have prevailed and achieved amazing things for our winter sports program.

As of now, the Girls Varsity Basketball team has accumulated an impeccable 12-5 record! To get a better view on the successful season, we at the Highlander newspaper interviewed Clara Pander 22’ about the season where she reportedly stated: “I believe we are having a great season, but despite our small team, we prevail and continue to dominate against our competition.”

The Girls Varsity Hockey team has accumulated a 7-8-4 record. The home games have definitely been rowdy and exciting, especially earlier in the season against Taft. The Girls Varsity Hockey teams senior night also occurred and Gunn came out with the win for these seniors’ final game.

The Boys Varsity Hockey team has done an excellent job as of now with a 18-12 record! There are some gritty guys on the team and they have found success as of late with a win against Winchendon School. The team also got a well deserved win on Senior Day against Berkshire. They will be competing in the Nepsac New England Playoffs! They face off against  a strong St. George’s team, so wish our boys luck!

Our Varsity Boys Basketball team has also performed well with a 7-11 record.

Our Highlanders have definitely been some dogs out there and continue to dominate against our competitors. When I go to the games of our Highlanders, I see so much determination in their hearts and they strive to get better every day. It is truly inspiring to see Tristan Davis ‘23  dunk on those that are in his way and freshman phenom, Luke Calabria ‘25 on the ice competing with the big boys.
