Professional soccer player Cristiano Ronaldo and his partner, Georgina Rodríguez, announced the death of their newborn son in a joint statement posted Monday on social media. “It is with our deepest sadness that we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away,” Ronaldo and Rodríguez wrote on Twitter on Monday.
This April month is the most forgettable month for CR7’s career and life. First, he got into trouble after smashing a young fan’s phone following his team loss on Saturday. This incident definitely made his image become worse; however he then apologized to the fan and later on scored a hatrick against Norwich City, which turned everything around completely. But no later after that, the Portuguese star received some of the worst news that he never thought of to his life and his family.
As we remember, he once scored a goal against Brighton and did a goal celebration for his upcoming twins son and daughter. He always cares about his family and he once said he wanted to have up to 7 kids in his family, just like his number 7 on the shirt that he wears all his career. That’s why he was always so excited to wait for his two kids to be born. However, only one of the children made it through. Ronaldonow has a new baby girl in his family, but this cannot make his family forget from this sadness. He said on his twitter, “It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel. Only the birth of our baby girls gives us hope and happiness. We would like to thank the doctors and nurses for all their expert care and support. We are all devastated at this loss and we kindly ask for privacy at this very difficult time. Our baby boy, you are our angel. We will always love you.”
The Portuguese star went through a similar situation when he was still a tenneger. His father passed away early and he could not see the success of his son as of now. Ronaldo’s life has been through many difficulties with his family and the sad thing is, during the time in the spotlight, he has donated non-stop for children around the world. He wants every child in the world to have the love that they deserve to have.
In 2014, Ronaldo paid for a 10-month old boy’s $83,000 brain surgery. Erik Ortiz Cruz was a 10-month-old boy from Villaluenga de la Sagra, Spain who was born with a brain disorder called cortical dysplasia. His family and friends had been raising money to pay for a surgery that costs $83,000. When they asked Cristiano Ronaldo to donate a pair of cleats and a jersey to auction off, the Real Madrid star decided to go ahead and cover the entire surgery. AS reports Ronaldo makes about $461,000 a week after taxes, so the expense isn’t all that much for him. But it’s still a remarkable gesture from a guy who has a reputation for being a bit of a prima donna. This is one of many examples that Ronaldo offers to help children’s lives around the world, and sadly, he can save millions of children around the world, but couldn’t save his own child.
